Scanning QR codes

The QR scanner is how you initiate connections with people.

How to Scan

  • Open CoLab
  • Tap the **Scan** tab at the bottom
  • Point your camera at someone's CoLab QR code
  • The app will automatically detect and read it

    • What Happens Next

    After scanning:

  • You'll see the person's name and basic info
  • Choose which context type(s) to share
  • Add an optional note (like "Met at the concert!")
  • Send the connection request

    • Tips

  • Make sure you're in good lighting
  • Hold your phone steady
  • The QR code should fill most of your screen
  • It works even if slightly tilted

    • Camera Not Working?

    Check that CoLab has camera permissions in your phone settings.
